In the spring of 2015, the citizens of Lowndes County favorably voted to approve a Bond Issue that would fund the construction of a Career and Technical Center for the students of Lowndes County School District. The lab-based facility provides students with the opportunity to explore and gain foundational skills that are directly related to their career interests. Nine college and career-prep programs are available to qualified students whether they plan to further their education at a community college, four-year university, or enter the market place. The Lowndes County School District Career Technical Center is preparing students to make that next step while building work ethics to enhance their employability skills.
